Today's devotional thought

Today’s Musing:

Daniel 9:18 KJV O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

Go ahead, call out to God. Daniel did and God was listening and responded. It’s not about what we do but what God can do for you and I. We can do everything right and quite possibly make a few mistakes in the process. We are so imperfect but God is a perfecter because He has mercy to give to those who recognize the error of their way. Do we really understand what being righteous requires? I think not! Why? Because we fail God far too many times. Let’s be a Daniel and discover how to really call out to God so that we may discover His mercy and grace. Jesus prayed to the Father, “not my will, but your be done.” I believe we should be doing the same.
