Today’s Minutia:

Psalms 150:6 KJVLet every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.”

Everything that God has to offer is much better than life itself. Life does have so much to offer but it is to no avail if God isn’t in the center of it. The Psalmist, David, came to realize that it was much better to experience the Father’s loving-kindness than enjoy only the pleasures that life provided. God’s mercy and favor were much more important to him than all the world had to offer. When God is the focus for everything that you say or do, you will so enjoy life’s experiences to the fullest.

People often talk of praising God for blessings received but praising God in every thing in life is what is required. Praise God for a good nights rest; Praise God for the end of a blessed day; Praise God for bringing healing from sickness; Praise God for the ability to pay attention to detail in avoiding danger; Praise God for great family and friends; Praise God for His provision each and every day; Praise God for a place to worship; Praise God for freedom to come and go as we please. There are so many more things that you could be praising God for. Each person has the ability to choose their path in life and who they wish to serve. Your choice should always be to serve the Lord as you give praise to the Lord your God.

Today’s Minutia:

Joshua 24:15 KJV “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Azariah, son of Obed the Prophet, approached Asa the king with some words of inspiration from the Lord. The people had failed in their duty to worship God as they should. Instead they had practiced idol worship. They needed to see that God had been with them in all their undertakings. If they didn’t return to God, He would soon forsake them. Asa in his wisdom made the correct call and tore down the idol worship centers. He led the people back to the worship of God. It was a decision that would show God’s favor.

The Bible should always be the rule and guide for your life. God has allowed each of us the opportunity to make right decisions in life. We can follow whatever path we choose. However, there is a path of righteousness that leads to eternal life with the Father at some appointed time. If you instead choose the path of unrighteousness, you must remember that there are results that are detrimental to your future. I’m going to join the group that follows the path of righteousness. How about you?

Today’s Minutia:

Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

To fear God doesn’t mean to be afraid of God but to have much reverence for Him. He is the God of the Universe who controls our comings and goings. The God who sets the seasons in order to fill the earth with His goodness. The God of creation who sustains and replenishes to satisfies life’s essential processes. As God and Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has provided for life everlasting. Without God at the center of your life, you will struggle to find peace in your life. Our duty it to revere the One who has made all that we enjoy possible. Some would say this all just exploded into existence but when you consider that there had to be something there to do so, the point becomes mute. The rule and guide for your life must come from somewhere. If there was no rule and no guide, what control would there be. Man had made terrible attempts to establish ways for living. You must agree that man made rules don’t last very long. God on the other hand has established a set of rules, when followed, that will bring rule and order to your life.

Today’s Minutia:

Psalms 17:5 KJV Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.”

David, the Psalmist, acknowledged that he had trouble staying in line with doing God’s will in his life. Just like it was very difficult for David to do the right thing all the time in his life, so it is just as difficult for you to always be doing what is right before God. I know that you probably think that I am being critical but I really believe that if you were honest with yourself you would confirm my thinking. You can’t possibly be doing God’s perfect will in your life because you are human. As a member of the human race, you often find yourself in conflict with what God requires of you. It is a fact that you probably do a number of things the right way in your life but there are those rare exceptions where you allow your self-will to take precedent for personal reasons. There are times when you need to vent because your personal space is compromised. You may feel like people don’t really care about how you feel and your natural response is to state your peace of mind. Something may happen that causes your routine to be altered and you just need to let others know how upset you are about it. Doing God’s perfect will in your life requires that you overlook what others do and focus more and what you can do to show them Godly love.
